Summary: Photocopies of reports, primarily consisting of inspection reports of Arizona Territory military facilities in the years 1867 and 1869, including Camp Bowie, Camp El Dorado, Camp Goodwin, Camp Grant, Camp Lincoln, Pima Village, Camp McDowell, Camp McPherson, Camp Mohave, Tucson, Camp Wallen, Fort Whipple, Camp Crittenden, Arizona and Camp Cody and Rock Springs, and Drum Barracks, Calif.. The inspecting officer was Lieutenant Colonel Roger Jones. Reports reflect observations of the inspecting officer and any deficiencies or problems noted. Documents are photocopies from microfilmed Adjutant General Records, National Archives, Washington D.C. Inspections provide researchers valuable observations on conditions and challenges faced on frontier posts during the 1860s in Arizona Territory. Two additional reports reflect military facilities in California for 1867.

The Continental Congress on June 17, 1775, appointed an Adjutant General of the Continental Army.
